Delivering a compliance monitoring system for Network Rail

Safety critical communication (SCC) focuses on helping workers negotiate hazards in the workplace and reduce the likelihood of error. It is essential to ensuring safe railway operations. However, Network Rail was finding it difficult to manually review over 5,000 calls a day and derive the compliance level from those calls.

Capgemini, along with the AIE Hyderabad and AIE Mumbai teams collaborated to develop an intelligent tool that can assist human reviewers in reviewing the calls, easing the workload and helping Network Rail to have a better compliance understanding. The tool tests random calls and measures their adherence to the current SCC structure.
